Well looks like Google is in the process of updating PR. I haven’t had a really good PR update since my first site went from PR5 to PR6 about a year ago, but today was HUGE! One of my sites has gone from a PR6 to PR7, my first PR7 site! Two other sites have also gone from PR5 to PR6! PR is still updating and it takes a few days sometimes, but if things stick I should end up with a PR7 and two PR6 sites. Im pretty excited, this should not only help me in the serps, but should help my other sites that are linked from these sites to increase their PR.
I like to use http://www.iwebtool.com/pagerank_checker to check all of Googles servers for PR changes.
When I woke up this morning to decided to check my email before I left for work, which I normally never do since I’m usually running late, but this morning I did. I was suprised to get an “could not connect” error message, so I checked one of my sites and it was down, I check another, down. I quickly emailed my server host and left for work. When I got to work, about 30 mins later I check my sites and they were back, phew. So I decided to check my favorite site, DIgg.com as I usually do each morning and what do I see?

It seems someone decided to post about the Graphics Worm we have over at Bluesfear, http://worm.bluesfear.com, and it got enough diggs to make it to the front page.
Well that explains why my server crashed, I was diggified! Anyway, traffic has been crazy to this page, so far we received 18,000 uniques today and used up about 66 Gigs of bandwidth. There hasn’t been much overflow in traffic to the main site, seems most people are just checking out the worm and leaving, but I’m not complaining. This is the 2nd time the Graphics worm has been Dugg, I was going to wait until it got to 100 ft to submit to digg, but looks like someone beat me to it.
Google has been a bit crazy for me this week. I wasn’t originally going to post about this, but it looks like the serps have stuck, so why not. In the past few days, a few of my sites have made some major leaps in Googles serps and 2 sites have come out of the sandbox. At first I thought it was too good to be true and didn’t want to get my hopes up, but days later its still showing the same results.
Out of the 11 websites I own, 9 out of 11 are on page 1 or 2 for my keywords and 7 out of those 9 are on page 1!! Two of those 9 were sandboxed by Google, meaning they were indexed but did not show up in the serps. One site came out of the sandbox 2 weeks ago and since then has gone from page 12 to page 2. This is a site that was sandboxed for over a year, so this is huge for me, I’ve been waiting a long time. The other site was sandboxed for about 2 months and is back on page 1.
Of the 2 sites that are not on page 1 or 2, one is on page 3 and the other Bluesfear is on page 4 for the keyword “Art”, up from page 6 a week ago. I’m really getting excited with Bluesfear. This is by far the most competitive keyword I’ve gone for and to get to page 4 in a little over 2 months is awesome and definitly unexpected, I was thinking it was going to take 4-5 months. At this rate I should make page 1 by 6 months.
To put this in perspective, last week, I only had 6 sites that were on page 1 or 2, now I have 9. Two sites were non-existent in the serps, and 3 sites were between pages 4-8.
Could this be a change in Googles search algorithm? I don’t think so, I haven’t heard other people talking about any major changes to there sites search results. But even if it was, I’m definitly not complaining.
I added a second forum skin to my largest forum at Bluesfear.com. It was a skin a actually made a year ago, but when I updated the forums I lost it, so yesterday I remade it. Its always good to give people an option, so now theres a dark skin and a light skin to choose from.
On another note, the $100 Graphics Battle is going great. Still 5 days away from the deadline and we already have over 10 entries which is fantastic since most people tend to submit their entries on the day or day before the deadline. Regardless this is very encouraging since the last 6 months we been averaging 5-6 entries per battle. Looks like Bluesfear is coming back to its hayday when we had 20-30 entries per Battle. Traffic has also seen a nice bump, about 300+ more uniques/day. Hopefully the battles will continue to grow each month and we will get more and more entries.
So with the summer over and football season upon us, I decided to join a flag football group in Hoboken. Our first game was on Sunday morning, 12 guys showed up so we had a decent 6 on 6 game. Now I haven’t really done any physical activity since I stopped going to the gym in May so I know I was going to get sore, but damn, I can barely walk! I was also stupid and decided to go to work today, I should have taken a day off cause it was torture. Everytime I got up and sat down it was like my legs were being ripped apart and I didn’t want to be a pussy so I didn’t really say anything. My back and sides were killing too. If this doesn’t get any better by tomorrow morning Im definitly calling in sick.
On another note, things are going good with my sites. Traffic is picking up on all sites so far and earnings are a tiny bit up as well. Nintendo is planning on annoncing the launch date of the Wii on Friday, so I’ll know when I should have my Wii Cheat site ready by.
At Bluesfear.com I have announced a $100 Graphics contest for best photomanip in an attempt to get more users to join my forums. Seems to be going pretty good, signups have definitly increaesed, so Im hoping that some of these members will translate into long term members. Thats about it for now.
Its that time of the month again.

Well it was a pretty good month. Traffic increase almost on every site and Bluesfear looks like it bottomed out last month because it saw a small increase in traffic for August. On the down side, every ad network posted lower earnings then the month before, but selling private ads made up the difference and I was able to make a small increase in overall profits. Im actually pretty excited because normally the summer months June, July and August are the lowest paying months for ad networks and the lowest in traffic. So coming into Sept I’m expecting things to slowly start to pick up. My Lost site should start seeing increase in traffic once Season 3 starts and once Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3 come out my 2 cheat sites should start getting some nice traffic.
SEO update - Bluesfear is flying up on Google for my new keyword “art”. A little over 2 months now and I’m on page #6, although I’m not seeing any traffic yet, page 6 is still to far back. Hopefully I’ll get to the top 3 pages soon then page 1
